Eco-Rx prepares a new round of efficacy testing for its RX 400.
NORTH MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA -- (MARKET WIRE) – 03/07/2006 -- Eco-Rx (OTC: ERXX), producer of proprietary air purification products announces preparation for a new round of efficacy testing. A new testing protocol is being developed in conjunction with Northeast Testing Laboratories of Berlin, Connecticut. Northeast Testing, an EPA and FDA certified lab, has been involved with testing Eco-Rx technology for the past 5 years.
The new tests will simulate real world conditions measuring the removal (kill) of various organisms such as: Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella Pneumonia. Use of these organisms is consistent with prior testing protocols. In previous tests, the organisms were introduced into the air stream of the device. Samples of the purified air were collected from the exit air stream and the effectiveness (kill rate) was determined. For the new tests, a special chamber of known volume will be used. A very high concentration of test organisms will be introduced into the chamber. Air in the chamber will then be tested at specific intervals to ascertain the speed of killing the test organisms.
Very few companies marketing air purification devices make their test results available to their customers or the general public. Eco-Rx believes that a company must substantiate the claims made for its products. As such, current and future test results from Eco-Rx will available for review.
